Adamant Rail

The gun, with rapid-fire spray, a grenade special, and reloads, the most ranged crowd-clearing option of the six.

The Adamant Rail is the gun. Its main attack is a rapid-fire spray of bullets and its special lobs a grenade-style bombard, with a reload between magazines that you have to manage. The Rail is the most ranged-spray option in the game: you stand back, hose down a room, and lob grenades into clusters. It clears crowds faster than anything else but asks you to respect the reload, since being caught mid-reload in a tight spot is how Rail runs end. It is approachable for players who want range without the precision the Bow demands.

How it plays

The main attack fires a continuous stream of bullets, great for shredding groups but limited by a magazine that must reload when empty. The special launches a bombard that explodes on impact, ideal for hitting clustered enemies or a single heavy target. The dash-strike fires a focused burst out of a dash, letting you reposition and keep damage up. The core skill is reload management: fire in controlled bursts, reload when you have created space, and never empty the magazine standing next to an enemy with nowhere to dash.

Manage your reload like a resource. Reload during a dash or after you have cleared space, not in the middle of a swarm. A forced reload while surrounded is the Rail’s deadliest moment.

Aspects

The Rail has four Aspects. The three standard ones level with Titan Blood; the Hidden Aspect of Lucifer must be unlocked through the story.

AspectEmphasis at the archetype level
ZagreusThe default. A flat general buff with no gimmick, fine for any build.
ErisReworks the bombard special into a stronger, build-defining option.
HestiaReworks the attack to reward reloading manually, leaning into burst fire.
Lucifer (Hidden)A reworked kit centered on a beam-style attack and a different special.

Exact Titan Blood costs are not given in the research; verify them via the meta-progression priority guide.

Boons that pair well

The rapid-fire attack triggers per-hit effects constantly, so Dionysus poison and Aphrodite’s Weak stack quickly across the spray. The bombard special pairs with any special-scaling boon for big area hits, and Ares Doom turns each grenade into delayed burst. Zeus chain lightning spreads across the crowds the Rail loves to gather. Athena’s Deflect protects you while you stand back and fire. See the boons and gods overview.

How to start with it

Run the Zagreus Aspect and learn to fire in bursts so you control your reloads. Pick attack or special and commit; the spray wants per-hit status, the bombard wants special-scaling. Add a defensive boon since you are stationary while firing. Spend Darkness in the Mirror of Night on survivability before Aspect levels.
