Scorch Build (Hestia)
Stack Hestia's Scorch for damage over time. Apply the status fast, then let the burn tick while you reposition with Sprint.
At a glance
| Status | Scorch (Hestia): stacking damage over time. |
| Comes online | As soon as you have a Hestia Attack or Special boon and one way to reapply it. |
| Core boon | Hestia Attack or Special that applies Scorch, plus a boon that boosts Scorch stacks or damage. |
| Good weapons | Umbral Flames and Witch’s Staff for steady reapplication. |
What this build is
Scorch is Hestia’s damage-over-time status. You apply it, it ticks, and the ticks add up while you stay mobile. The build wants frequent hits to refresh and stack the burn, so weapons that fire continuously or hit often keep the most stacks running. Hestia also brings fire and projectile protection, which helps survivability.
Gods and boons to prioritize
| Priority | God | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Core | Hestia (Scorch) | Apply Scorch on Attack or Special. Then take anything that raises Scorch stacks, duration, or tick damage. |
| Multiplier | Hestia Scorch boosters | The boon that increases maximum Scorch stacks or burn damage is your scaling. |
| Support | Aphrodite (Weak) or Athena (deflect) | Weak softens incoming damage; deflect covers ranged rooms while burn does the work. |
| Sustain | Poseidon or Demeter | Health and crowd control so you can keep applying the status. |
A Hestia Duo Boon that adds a second damage layer to your burn is worth taking when offered. The exact Duo names shift, so grab the archetype: a Duo that converts or amplifies your damage-over-time.
Daedalus Hammer to look for
Take the Hammer that increases how often you hit or how wide your attack reaches, since more hits mean more Scorch application. On Umbral Flames, prioritize a Hammer that improves sustained Omega Attack uptime.
Arcana Cards note
Pick cards that raise boon rarity and damage. Higher-rarity Hestia boons mean more Scorch per hit. See Arcana Cards.
Keepsake and Hex
- Keepsake: the Keepsake that boosts Hestia’s appearance, so you secure the Scorch core early.
- Selene Hex: a damaging Hex such as a beam or a slow that lets the burn tick longer. See Selene and Hexes.
Do this in order
- First Hestia boon you see, take the one that applies Scorch on your main hit.
- Add a Scorch stack or damage booster as your second Hestia pick.
- Apply the status, then Sprint and reposition while it ticks. Do not stand still trading blows.
- Refresh Scorch before stacks expire. Frequent light hits beat one big hit.
- Take a deflect or Weak support boon for ranged-heavy rooms.
- Hold the Hex for boss phases or crowded rooms.
Watch out for
- Letting Scorch fall off. The build is reapplication, not one big hit.
- Overcharging Omega moves while surrounded. You are vulnerable mid-cast.
- Single-hit weapons stall the build; favor frequent contact.
Tier and “strong” claims shift with balance patches.
