Sister Blades
The fastest Nocturnal Arm, twin daggers with low per-hit damage but relentless speed and an Omega Attack that teleports you behind a foe.
The Sister Blades, Lim and Oros, are the twin daggers for players who want to be in everyone’s face. They are the fastest weapon in the game: low damage per hit, but so many hits, so quickly, that the total adds up fast. The trade is reach. The Blades hit only at close range, so the playstyle is aggressive, mobile, and a little risky. You unlock them by spending one Silver, the reagent you gather with the Crescent Pick from crescent-moon clusters or get from Narcissus in Oceanus.
How it plays
The standard Attack is a rapid flurry of dagger strikes, and the standard Special is a quick close-range slash that fits between attacks. The Omega Attack is the signature move: it spends Magick to teleport Melinoë behind a target and unload, which both deals burst damage and repositions you out of danger in one motion. The Omega Special widens your close pressure. Because the per-hit numbers are small, the Blades reward boons that add an effect to every strike, since you land so many. Spend Magick freely inside a room, but do not commit the Omega teleport into a pack you cannot then escape.
Use the Omega Attack teleport as both your damage spike and your dodge. Blink behind a dangerous enemy to skip its telegraph, burst it, then flurry the rest. The Blades punish hesitation, so keep moving and keep hitting.
Its Aspects
The Sister Blades carry several Aspects, bought with materials and leveled with Nightmare. At the archetype level they tend to amplify the weapon’s identity in different ways: one rewards the relentless base flurry, others reshape the Special or the Omega teleport so the daggers favor burst or sustained pressure. Because each strike is small, Aspects that multiply hits or add per-hit effects are especially strong here. The research marks the exact Aspect list and effects as “verify,” so check the current wiki before spending Nightmare.
| Aspect | Role (archetype) |
|---|---|
| Base / flurry | Rewards the relentless standard combo |
| Special-focused | Reshapes the close-range Special |
| Omega-focused | Bends the kit around the teleport burst |
Boon pairings
High hit-count weapons love any status that triggers on hits. Zeus Blitz is a natural fit, since the flurry crosses the Blitz hit threshold almost instantly and detonates repeatedly; see the Blitz build. Hera Hitch is excellent because spreading damage off a fast single-target weapon turns the Blades into crowd clear, covered in the Hitch build. Aphrodite Weak helps survivability for an in-melee weapon by softening what you dive into, in the Weak build. For how to choose and commit to a status core, read boons and gods.
How to start with it
Unlock the Blades with one Silver, then commit to a per-hit status from your first god offer. The Blades are unforgiving if you stand still, so practice the Sprint for repositioning and use the Omega teleport to escape, not just to attack. Spend Magick on the teleport often, since it refills on the next room. As you clear Testaments in the Oath of the Unseen, use the Nightmare you earn to level your chosen Blades Aspect. Bank Silver early with the gathering loop so the unlock is not a bottleneck.
