Twin Fists
The fast melee brawler with rapid combos and a dash-uppercut, built for high tempo and aggressive close range.
The Twin Fists of Malphon are the brawler. They have the shortest range of any weapon and the fastest attack speed, throwing rapid punch combos and a dash-uppercut that launches you into a target. The Fists are all tempo: you get in close, unload a flurry, and keep moving so you never eat a counter. They reward aggression and punish hesitation. With the right boons each individual punch carries a full effect, so a fast weapon hitting many times turns into a status-stacking machine.
How it plays
The main attack is a rapid punch combo that ends in a stronger finishing blow. Because it hits so many times so quickly, every per-hit boon effect triggers constantly. The special is a flurry of fast jabs in front of you, more close-range damage on demand. The dash-strike is a dash-uppercut that lunges you forward and launches the enemy, your main gap-closer and the move that defines aggressive Fists play. The whole loop is dash in, combo, dash-uppercut, dash out, repeat, staying inside the enemy’s guard while never standing still.
Range is your weakness, so movement is your defense. The Fists have no block and no reach, so you survive by dash-canceling constantly. If you find yourself standing in one spot trading hits, you are playing them wrong.
Aspects
The Fists have four Aspects. The three standard ones level with Titan Blood; the Hidden Aspect of Gilgamesh must be unlocked through the story.
| Aspect | Emphasis at the archetype level |
|---|---|
| Zagreus | The default. A flat general buff with no gimmick, fine for any build. |
| Talos | Adds a magnetic pull effect, drawing enemies in for your short range. |
| Demeter | Reworks the dash-uppercut into a stronger committed attack. |
| Gilgamesh (Hidden) | The Claws of Enkidu, a reworked kit with its own attack and a maiming effect. |
Exact Titan Blood costs are not given in the research; verify them via the meta-progression priority guide.
Boons that pair well
The Fists’ many fast hits make per-hit status effects the dream. Dionysus poison stacks fast because every punch adds a stack. Ares Doom and Aphrodite’s Weak also apply rapidly across the combo. Artemis crits multiply across a flurry of hits. Hermes for attack and move speed amplifies the tempo the weapon is built around. Athena’s Deflect is a strong defensive pick on a weapon with no block. See the boons and gods overview.
How to start with it
Run the Zagreus Aspect and get comfortable dash-canceling before anything else, because survival on the Fists is all footwork. Take a per-hit status boon early, poison or Doom, since the weapon applies it so well, and grab a defensive boon when offered. Spend Darkness in the Mirror of Night on an extra dash and a revive first; the Fists demand mobility.
